PORTSMOUTH, Va. — The Portsmouth Police Department said the woman who managed to get out of her handcuffs while she was at police headquarters last week is in custody.
Officers apprehended 45-year-old Angela L. Young without incident in the 1000 block of Thrive Place in Chesapeake on Tuesday night.
She was turned over to the Portsmouth City Jail, police said.
Police said Young was in a holding room around 11:30 a.m. on February 19, waiting to be processed. Young removed her handcuffs and left.
There was a warrant on file for her for a probation violation.
