Police searching for credit card thief in Suffolk

The victim saw the suspect near her car, but didn't realize at the time her purse had been stolen out of the vehicle.

SUFFOLK, Va. — Police in Suffolk are asking for the public's help to find a woman who stole and used another person's credit cards in Suffolk.

The theft happened on December 31, 2019, in the 4300 block of Pughsville Road. The suspect is believed to have stolen the victim's purse out of her parked car.

As the victim returned to her car she saw the suspect nearby but didn't realize at the time her purse had been stolen at the time.

Security cameras later showed the suspect using the stolen credit cards at different locations.
