SUFFOLK -- A city spokeswoman said doctors at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital discharged Detective Sergey Solodyankin who was hit by a car while he was directing traffic.
Diana Klink said 28-year-old Solodyankin was at the intersection of North Main Street and Prentis Street at around noon Saturday when a four-door Infiniti hit him.
Suffolk Fire & Rescue provided emergency medical assessment and treatment before an ambulance took him to Sentara Obici Hospital. He was airlifted from there to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
No charges have been filed in the incident, and it remains under investigation.
