A bomb threat forced the evacuation of a Virginia Department of Transportation building in Suffolk on Wednesday afternoon.
The bomb threat directed at the building in the 7500 block of Burbage Drive was found on a note around 3:22 p.m.
VDOT officials made the decision to evacuate the building and to close their offices for the remainder of the day.
The Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office responded and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
