VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Virginia Beach Fire Department investigators charged a 69-year-old woman with threatening to blow-up a Virginia Beach convenience store.

On July 7, fire investigators responded to a reported bomb threat at Speedway Convenience Store in the 4400 block of Princess Anne Road.

Investigators identified Carolyn Cagnolatti Ghavam of Chesapeake as the person who threatened to blow up the business, officials said.

Ghavam was arrested in Suffolk on July 9.

Virginia Beach fire officials said threatening to bomb or damage buildings or means of transportation is a felony in Virginia.
