VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Police are tracking a man they said committed a string of burglaries at businesses and stole hundreds of dollars worth of acne cream.

The burglaries happened on March 20, according to Virginia Beach Crime Solvers.

Small businesses who have shops around the offices where the burglaries took place told 13News Now the incidents are unsettling.

"[It] made me kind of nervous that that has happened. Some of the neighbors have said that nothing has ever happened like that,” said Tiv Stottlemyer, a local business owner.

The man stole the $600 worth of acne cream, computers and $200 cash from a plastic surgery center and spa at 1817 Republic Road, according to an incident report. He allegedly kicked in the side door and stole a total of $3000 worth of merchandise.

Police said the man then targeted other businesses at complexes with medical offices.

The suspect was caught on camera at a computer repair shop at a building at 1092 Laskin Road, police said. He broke down the door and stole Apple laptops and monitors, according to online records.

Police said he broke into an office at 397 Little Neck Road. Nothing was taken in this incident.
