NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Norfolk firefighters were busy battling flames at a house in Colonial Heights early Monday morning.

When our photographer pulled up, crews had Mayfield Avenue closed off so they could bring hoses into the home.

Firefighters tell us they got the call around 1:30 a.m. When they arrived they found a fire burning on the first floor, and under the floor.

They managed to get things under control about a half-hour later.

There is no word on what sparked the fire at this time.
