Virginia Beach City Public Schools to host career expo

During the April 27 event, administrators will be there to discuss employment opportunities like security staff, tradesmen, custodians, bus drivers and more.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Virginia Beach City Public Schools’ Department of Human Resources will hold its annual Career Expo on April 27.

The event will be held at Landstown High School, located at 2001 Concert Drive from 9 a.m. to noon.

At the expo, representatives from elementary, middle and high school levels will be on-site to review available school-based positions. Central office administrators will also be at the event to discuss employment opportunities like security staff, tradesmen, custodians, bus drivers, school administrators, cafeteria staff, teacher assistants, office associates, information technology professionals and more.

Throughout the day, there will be six information session about the application and hiring process for prospective employees. Other sessions include overviews of the school division’s application and hiring process for those interested in principal or assistant principal positions, benefits, professional development programs, becoming a substitute and steps to licensure.

Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to register online in advance.
