Virginia Beach library closing for renovations

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — While  all Virginia Beach Public Libraries will close on Monday, Jan. 21 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, one won't reopen the next day.

Virginia Beach's Princess Anne Area Library at 1444 Nimmo Parkway will remain closed after Martin Luther King, Jr. Day for renovations.

The "Princess Anne Express Library," will operate from the Princess Anne Recreation Center at 1400 Nimmo Parkway starting Wednesday, Jan. 23 from noon to 6 p.m. Regular hours for the express library will begin Thursday, Jan. 24 and will be of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It will be closed on Sundays.

Library customers can pick up holds and register for library cards at the temporary location. Customers will be able to return materials and access full library services at any other Virginia Beach Public Library location with the exception of Kempsville Area Library, which is also closed for renovations.
