VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A woman who walked into a Virginia Beach convenience store and claimed to have a bomb will spend a year behind bars.
Earlier this year, 34-year-old Crystal Mostek was found guilty on charges of making a bomb threat and bomb/explosive hoax. On Monday a judge sentenced her to five years, but with four of those years suspended.
Back in April of 2018, Mostek walked into a 7-Eleven on Pleasure House Road, placed a device on the counter, and told the clerk it was a bomb. She then threatened to blow up the store.
Officials later determined the device was not a bomb.
