DURHAM, N.C. (WFMY)-- The winter storm that dumped on North Carolina didn't spare anyone including law enforcement.
Just after 5:30pm Sunday, the Durham County Sheriff's Office tweeted out a photo of cracked windshield. The tweet states that a chunk of ice dropped from an overpass and onto the deputy's windshield.
They also used the moment to remind people why they should stay home "another example of the unpredictable happening while driving in #winterweather.
It also included a line "If you can't stay home, stay alert."
