ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — A snow/rain mix did not stop the Elizabeth City Running Club in North Carolina.
"I would run in this any day over the heat," one jogger said.
Reflectors on and a baby stroller lit up the dark near Waterfront Park. It's a different kind of dedication to run against the snow, when it's more than just a hobby.
"I never ran a mile until the doctor told me I was pre-diabetic. So I was like, 'I have to do something.'"
However, not everyone in Elizabeth City went for a jog in the snow. They did a different kind of running: they sprinted from the gas station store to their cars!
"No salgan de sus casas," one customer said in Spanish. It's a message for everyone: stay in your homes!
