ASHEBORO, N.C. -- What started as a North Carolina teenager's way of spreading love has turned into a global movement that’s still growing.

Lucas Hunt from Asheboro has sold over 100,000 "Thank You Jesus" signs in all 50 states and over 10 countries around the world!

In celebration of this major event, the Thank You Jesus Movement is spreading the word to as many people as possible during the Thanksgiving season.

Hunt says he doesn’t care about making money or becoming famous, his only mission is to spread love and thanks.

"For me it's just about getting the name of Jesus out there,” said Hunt. “I wanted to do something to minister to other people. This was my way of doing that. It was never about making money or anything like that. Just being able to share Jesus with someone else or share Jesus with other believers has been a big deal to me."

Hunt created the first "Thank You Jesus" sign a year and a half ago when he was just 15 years old.

His initial goal was to sell 500 signs, now, he's sold 100,000 and counting.

The non-profit organization also sells "Thank You Jesus" magnets and yard flags.

The continued popularity has spawned several innovations, including online orders and sales through Christian book stores nationwide.

All proceeds from the signs go to the Thank You Jesus Mission -- designed to provide grants to churches and non-profits in rural areas of North Carolina.

The money is used for educational training, food banks, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and more.

Hunt says watching the movement grow has been a life changing experience.

“I've never met so many nice people through this. My family, we've met other believers almost on a daily basis when I first started and we still meet with them and speak with them,” said Hunt. “It's been a big deal to be able to talk with him and see how God has been working in their lives. To different people, the sign means different things. There's always a story behind every sign."

Hunt says he’s not setting any more goals for the Thank You Jesus Movement. He says he wants to leave it in God’s hands to take it as far as it can go.

If you want a "Thank You Jesus" sign for your yard or business, you can buy them online for $8.
