VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — All kinds of people in costumes were in attendance at the Tidewater Comicon on Saturday.
The two-day event features special celebrity guests like Nafeesa Williams from Black Lightning and Dante Basco from the Robin Williams movie, Hook., comic book creators, voice actors and more.
On May 18 to 19, the Virginia Beach Convention Center has people dressed as anime characters, book characters, superheroes, and even the Joker.
“There’s a lot of Cosplayers here who literally take like a year to sew their costumes,” attendee Miranda Qualtieri said.
