Boat catches fire at Cape Charles Marina

According to the Coast Guard, the 73-foot vessel was reported to be on fire at 6 a.m. Tuesday. No injuries have been reported.

CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The U.S. Coast Guard and other local agencies are working to put out a boat fire at the Cape Charles Marina on Tuesday morning.

According to the Coast Guard, the 73-foot vessel was reported to be on fire at 6 a.m.

Units from the Coast Guard, Accomack County Fire Department, Cape Charles Fire Department, Cheriton Fire Department, and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management are working together to extinguish the fire.

Crews from the Coast Guard's Incident Management Division have also responded to assess the environmental impact and vessel salvage.

No injuries or pollution have been reported.
