Ziggy, a 14-year-old Chihuahua, and Elizabeth, an 8-year-old Sky Terrier mix are best friends, and they are looking for a forever home.

Officials from the Petersburg Animal Care and Control are trying to adopt the pair out together after their owners passed away.

Ziggy, a neutered male, has several health issues including a collapsed trachea, a slight heart murmur, and he is partially blind due to his age. He has been treated by the vet, but those are conditions he will need to live with for the rest of his life.

Officials at Petersburg Animal Care and Control said, regardless of his age and medical conditions, he is still spunky and bossy!

Elizabeth, a spayed female, only needs a little dental work. She loves playing with cat toys and running around.

Both pups are puppy pad and outdoor potty trained, and they love to snuggle and follow anyone who loves them around. They pass the time by taking naps.

When Ziggy and Elizabeth first arrived at the shelter, they did not like other dogs or cats, but they are now fine being around other animals.

Anyone interested in adopting the little guys, please contact Petersburg Animal Care and Control at 804-732-3654 or visit the shelter to see them.
