WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WVEC) -- Wednesday marked 40 years of cheers on the Loch Ness Monster roller coaster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
Guests marked the occasion with special activities, including a $40 admission to the park.
It kicks off a five-day anniversary celebration for the popular roller coaster. Some enthusiasts say it's one of the best coasters out there!
"Loch Ness Monster definitely was one of the historical pieces that fell in to make what we know as roller coasters today," said American Coaster Enthusiasts regional representative Elizabeth Ringas.
The Loch Ness Monster is the world's only interlocking, double-looping roller coaster. American Coaster Enthusiasts has named it a roller coaster landmark.
The theme park's $40 admission tickets are available online only through June 10. The ticket will be valid for a one-time use through July 1.
