Williamsburg Premium Outlets reach full capacity on Black Friday

Retailers expected billions of dollars in revenue on Black Friday.

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WVEC) -- It's the biggest shopping day of the year.

Retailers expected billions of dollars in revenue on Black Friday. One of the busiest spots in our area was the Williamsburg Premium Outlets.

Parking lots were full Friday while thousands rushed to get some of the best deals of the year.

Sarah Copeland and her son Tyler were just two of the thousands of people searching for those amazing deals at the outlets.

“Me, I just like the experience,” Tyler Copeland said.

All eyes were also on the traffic Friday night.

Parking at the Williamsburg Premium Outlets reached 100% capacity both Thursday and Friday.

Shoppers Amanda Holloway and Ashley Burton came all the way from Luray and Calverton Virginia. Both started their shopping spree at 9 a.m.

“The deals are worth it to come this far,” Holloway said.

According to a National Retail Federation survey, more than 164 million people are planning to shop this holiday weekend, including Cyber Monday.
