GLOUCESTER, Va. (WVEC) -- A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Gloucester County, Virginia State Police said.

The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. Monday in the westbound lanes of Lewis B. Puller Memorial Highway (Route 33), easy of County Line Road (Route 666).

Investigators say a Toyota 4-Runner was driving on Route 33 when 21-year-old Rylee Ashlyn Gabel ran off the roadway, struck a sign, and over-corrected. Gabel lost control of the SUV, which overturned several times.

Police said Gabel was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Alcohol was not a contributing factor in the crash.
