VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are searching for missing 19-year-old Ashanti Billie, but her car was seen by a 13News Now viewer being towed on Saturday.

The public was made aware that Billie may be traveling in a 2014 cream color Mini Cooper with Maryland plates reading 2CX-0575.

Virginia Beach police did confirm they found Billie's car.

Investigators began searching for Billie after she didn't show up to any of her college classes, or for work near Shore Drive and Little Creak Road.

Her parents, Meltony and Brandy Billie, came down from Maryland to look for her. They've been in touch with police and getting continuous updates on the search.

They said their daughter goes to the Art Institute of Virginia Beach. She moved to Virginia Beach in August.

"It's a nightmare. I would never wish this on no one," said Meltony.

Brandy said she last spoke to Ashanti on Sunday evening.

Meltony said their family still has a lot of questions about what happened, after Ashanti's phone was found.

"The phone was found roughly about 4 miles from the last position we knew she was at. It was in a dumpster," Meltony told 13News Now.

"I just want my baby home. Anybody if you've seen or heard anything, even if you think you saw something, please," said Brandy.

Billie is 4'11" tall and weighs around 133 pounds.

According to police, this is uncharacteristic behavior for Billie and since her property was found in another place, the case is being investigated as a missing person under suspicious circumstances.
