NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- A raccoon in the Roland Park area of Norfolk has tested positive for rabies.

The raccoon was killed by a dog on Saturday in the 500 block of Summers Drive. The critter was sent to be tested at the Virginia Department of Consolidated Laboratory Services.

The test results came back positive on March 7.

There was no known human exposure, and the dog involved has been vaccinated against rabies.
