VIRGINIA BEACH - One of two men accused in the murder of an off-duty Norfolk police officer in Va. Beach was back in court Thursday.

Kareem Turner is charged with 2nd degree murder, conspiracy, robbery and use of a firearm in the October 2010 shooting of Victor Decker.

Decker's body was found by his truck. Police said he'd attended a fundraising event at Atlantis nightclub on Oceana Blvd.

During the hearing, the criminal court judge certified that the Commonwealth has probable cause to proceed with the charges again Turner.

Testifying for the Commonwealth were two incarcerated men who said they can tie Turner to Decker's murder.

Lamont Davenport, who is in federal prison for cocaine charges, said he was parked in front of the Atlantis night club the morning Decker was shot. He said he recognized Raymond Perry, the second suspect in the case, run past him after a shot was fired, from the direction of Decker's truck.

Perry faces several charges including capital murder.

Davenport said Turner was the second man he saw that night with Perry, based on physical attributes, and later identified Turner from a photo line-up.

Davenport repeated more than a dozen times he was telling the truth despite lying in the past because he now has a plea bargain he is trying not to violate.

The second witness to testify was Aaron Lundy. He said he was in a holding cell with Turner in October 2012 and during a conversation learned of Turner's connection to the Decker case.

Lundy testified that Turner told him he gave Perry a gun to use and indicated it was used to rob Decker.
