NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- The winner of 'The Battle of the Pop-Up' contest at the MacArthur Center has been announced.

The winner: For All Handkind Collective.

The three local artists who founded For All Handkind are offered rent-free space for four months, use of existing mall or store fixtures, and free utilities. They also receive a $500 merchandising package from the center that includes interior signage, table-printed displays, and graphic design services.

Gayle Forman, Kimberly McKinnis, and Kelsie McNair created For All Handkind to give local artists, and emerging makers a platform to sell their handmade goods.

“We are beyond excited to have a place where local artists can connect directly with the community,” says co-founder Kimberly McKinnis. “We also can't wait to bring our hands-on crafting experience to MacArthur Center!”

For All Handkind has previously sold its items online, at craft festivals and at other regional pop-ups. The store will include jewelry, glassware of unique and homegoods.

Five percent of each sale at For All Handkind is donated to a charity.

The new storefront can be found on the second level of the MacArthur Center across from LUSH.
