NORFOLK, Va. — It's no secret being a coach at any sport at any level from high school through professional will take its toll. That was the case D.J. Alexander at Booker T. Washington. He announced on Monday he was stepping down as the head football coach of the Bookers after five seasons.
Alexander was 18-34 during that time that included a 4-6 record last season when his squad came within a game of making the playoffs. He says he wants to spend more time with his family.
