Bulldog's Dickinson has big hopes in swimming

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.- Her club coach describes her as "someone who comes to work with a lunch box". Callie Dickinson brings a blue collar mentality to the pool. The senior at Norfolk Academy is one of those athletes to look out for down the road this high school season. While swimming for the Bulldogs, she's also with the TIDE Swim Club.

Dickinson does most events, but when she heads off to the University of Georgia next fall, her concentration will be on the 200m backstroke and butterfly. In 2016, Dickinson got as far as the semifinals of the Olympic Trials. "I was really competitive when I was younger", she says. That intensity will carry her well into the Southeastern Conference with the Bulldogs.
