CNU back in conference championship game again

The Captains beat Salisbury 87-71 to advance to the CAC championship game for the 6th year in a row.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — CNU is back in the Capital Athletic Conference championship game for the sixth straight season. They get there by beating Salisbury 87-71 in the conference tournament semifinal 87-71 Thursday night at the Freeman Center.

The Captains scored the first 12 points of the game. However, the SeaGulls were within 2 with just over seven minutes in regulation. That's when the Captains turned it on for the run away win.

Jason Aigner had 19. Adrian Beasley shows up in our highlights with several clutch baskets. He had 16.

The championship game vs. York is set for Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Freeman Center.
