PORTSMOUTH, Va. — The 63rd edition of the Eastern Amateur is underway at Elizabeth Manor Golf and Country Club in Portsmouth. The club has new owners and they're looking to upgrade the course and the Eastern Am.

There were glory years for the Eastern Amateur when it was one of the premier amateur golfing events on the east coast. Back in the day, the likes of Curtis Strange and Ben Crenshaw won there. Recently the Eastern Am pulls in some of the better college golfers in the region and across the country. There are even a few international players in the full field of 156.

Sunday is the final round. As scheduled now, the leaders will be teeing off in the early afternoon.
