CHESAPEAKE, Va. — The Hickory Hawks have literally been putting in extra time during the playoffs. They've played 2 overtime games just to get a regional title. Apparently they ran out of gas as Mills Godwin bolted out to a 4-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 6-0 win over the Hawks in the Class 5 state quarterfinals Tuesday night in boys soccer.

Other area schools managed to stay alive and advance to the semifinals that included Landstown needing penalty kicks to beat Cosby 10-9, while Jamestown beat Monacan 2-0 and Princess Anne cruised past Deep Run 5-1.
