Four area high school captured region championships on Friday night. Oscar Smith grabbed the 6A final with the 38-0 shutout of Landstown. They handed the Eagles (12-1) their first loss of the season. Nansemond River needed overtime to beat Salem 28-27 for the 5A title, while Lafayette won at King's Fork for the 4A championship. Poquoson knocked off previous unbeaten Goochland on the road in the 2A Region Championship by a final of 21-10.
