Lafayette baseball wins states. Ocean Lakes and Tabb fall short

Ocean Lakes put together a dramatic comeback in the semifinals, but it still wasn't enough

GLEN ALLEN, Va. — Congratulations to the Lafayette Rams baseball team. They are your 2019 Class 4 state champs. Lafayette is the only school in Hampton Roads to win a state title this year in either baseball, softball, boys and girls soccer and tennis.

We have highlights of Ocean Lakes baseball in their semifinal matchup with Westfield. Friday was the resumption of a game suspended due to rain last week. The Dolphins fought back from a 7-0 first inning deficit. They got a homer from Aiden Pinto and a grand slam from Johnny Wall and came close. But, Westfield prevailed 9-7.

Also, Tabb baseball lost in the Class 3 championship game to Fluvanna 16-10.
