NORFOLK, Va. — "Honestly it came from shooting on double rims when I was younger and learning how to get elevation on my shot. And, ever since then, I've been blessed with the touch." That's the simple explanation from Derrik Jamerson on how he has turned three point shooting into target practice.
Jamerson is a senior for Norfolk State. He is on his way to setting records for three point shooting accuracy. Just how much of a sharp shooter is he? Check out the NCAA statistics and you will see his name in the top 5 for three point shooting percentage.
After Monday's win over North Carolina A&T, Jamerson stands at 51.7% shots made from beyond the arc. And as Spartans head coach Robert Jones says, "Some guys can just shoot off of catch and shoots. Some guys are just good off the dribble. He shoots in every fashion possible and that makes him a great shooter."
