NORFOLK, Va.- Jonathan Schoop has been enjoying his time while with the Norfolk Tides. Not only had he had the chance to reconnect with his older brother, Sharlon, who's an infielder with the club, he's been rehabbing an oblique injury he suffered April 13 while with the parent club Baltimore Orioles. Schoop has been positive about getting back. "It's fun. Trying to get better", he says.
The 26 year old wants to get back to form where he was an American League All-Star with the Orioles last season. Even though he was a combined 1-8 with five strikeouts, Schoop was pain free as the Tides swept their weekend series with the Louisville Bats. He's eager to get back to Baltimore and "help the team out."
