South Military Highway was shut down in both directions at the Interstate 64 interchange for several hours on Monday evening, following a crash and fuel spill.
According to Chesapeake officials, a dump truck struck a jersey barrier and spilled diesel fuel onto the roadway.
The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. Chesapeake updated to say both sides of South Military Highway were back open around 8:15 p.m.
Officials at this time have not said if any injuries were reported.
