Hot and humid weather will continue today, and, once again, a few pop-up isolated thunderstorms will be possible.  Any storms that do develop will likely be slow-movers, and could produce some heavy downpours and brief gusty winds.  Highs today will top out in the lower to middle 90s, but when you factor in the humidity, it will feel more like 100°.

The stagnant weather pattern will continue tomorrow with more of the same, but changes are on the way for Thursday.  A slow-moving cold front will arrive late in the day.  Ahead of the front, it will be another hot one with highs in the 90s, but with the front’s arrival, rain chances will go up.

Cooler weather moves in for the end of the week.  The cold front will briefly stall over the Carolinas Friday, so it will be close enough to produce a few more showers and thunderstorms.  But the front is expected to clear the region just in time for the weekend, leading to partly sunny skies Saturday and Sunday with highs in the lower 80s and lower humidity.
