NORFOLK, Va. — Onshore winds will keep coastal areas much cooler today through the weekend. Skies started out cloudy early Friday but will become partly sunny later in the day.
Isolated showers are possible late Friday, too. It appears that the risk of stronger thunderstorms will remain well southwest of our area.
The weekend looks to bring a slightly greater chance of a few showers with the continued cool down. We could see a few showers early Saturday and again late Sunday. Most of the weekend should be partly sunny. Highs will range from the lower to middle 60s.
The cooler conditions this weekend will continue into early next week as highs only make it into the lower 60s on Monday. The cool-down won't last too long though. Models point to another short warming trend beginning by the middle of next week when highs are forecast to climb back into the lower 70s. Longer range outlooks point to a cooler than normal end of April though.
Allergy Report
Pollen levels will be high on Friday with oak, maple, and alder trees as the predominant allergens. Pollen levels are forecast to drop during the weekend.
