FORECAST: Rain chances are back up!

Getting warmer & more humid in coming days.

Widespread dense fog kick starts the morning with mostly cloudy skies around mid-day; however, things take a shift as late afternoon/evening roll around. Although the past few days have featured dreary conditions, today's the first day we see real rain chances back in place across Hampton Roads in a few days. This afternoon won't be a complete washout, but isolated to scattered showers are expected. Yet again today, temperatures struggle to hit our seasonal average high of 78 degrees and only look to top out in the mid-70s.

The National Hurricane Center keeps our attention drawn to a disturbance just east of Jacksonville, FL that has a 30% chance of development over the next 2-5 days before making landfall. As this system continues to progress northeast, our rain chances increase throughout the duration of the week and even into the beginning of the weekend before a cold front swings through. Yes, heightened rain chances look to be an impact with this progression, but increased humidity levels are also a topic of conversation too.

By tomorrow, temperatures bump up from today's high to right around 80 degrees; however, overall conditions don't change too much. Scattered showers and even a few thunderstorms are possible tomorrow.

Like mentioned, this tropical feel featuring high dew points and rain chances doesn't part from Hampton Roads until the second half of the weekend before another surge of unseasonably cool air comes into play.
