What an absolutely beautiful day across Hampton Roads and northeastern North Carolina! Sunshine, breezy & dry conditions with temperatures warming to around 60° in most spots, cool but comfortable. The average high here for the early days of April is now at 64°. Gradually in the coming days we warm temperatures back into the 70s!.
Winds have still been gusty, recorded gusts over 30mph thanks to our region being caught in between exiting low pressure to the northeast and incoming high pressure to the west. As the area if low pressure does a kind of dance over the open Atlantic our winds will remain blustery.
Expect more of what we experienced today tomorrow, mostly sunny skies giving way to increasing clouds later in the afternoon, highs around 60 once again.
This weekend looks great, slightly warmer and closer to average, mostly sunny to partly cloudy.
By early next week our winds shift and transport above average temperatures back into the region, highs Monday should peak around 70. By midweek those highs will be closer to the middle 70s. With the arrival of warmer temperatures it also means an increased risk at showers once again in the forecast Monday through Wednesday. That is our next chance at seeing much in the way of rain at all. As a result of the dry conditions expect pollen levels to soar. Main allergen is tree pollen that will be high to extremely high into the weekend.
