A stalled front near the South Carolina border will dissipate today. High pressure at the surface and aloft will build off the East Coast as the westward extension of the Bermuda high. This will increase heat and humidity, but limit storm development to 20% through Friday. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low of 69. Friday will be partly sunny with a high of 90.
The upcoming 4th of July weekend will be a typical July weekend. A cold front will approach but remain to our northwest through Monday. With abundant moisture and daytime heating, we will be a 40% afternoon and evening storm chance for Saturday through Tuesday. Highs each day will approach 90, with morning lows near 70.
The normal high is 88, and the normal low is 68.
