Semis were close at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament

PORTSMOUTH, Va.- The semifinals of the 66th Portsmouth Invitational Tournament had plenty of excitement for fans at Churchland High School Friday night. In the opener, former University Of Virginia player, Isaiah Wilkins chipped in 8 points, but teammate Jaylen Barford (Arkansas) got the game winner on a drive to the lane with no time left as they edged Mike Duman Auto 85-83.

In the nightcap, three local players for Portsmouth Sports Club did their part against K&D Round's. Shannon Evans II (Suffolk/Arizona State) had 10 points while Devon Hall (Va. Beach/UVA) and Rodney Bullock (Hampton/Providence College) each had 13 points, but would lose in overtime 95-90. The finals are set for 7pm on Saturday.
