HAMPTON, Va. — Emergency crews were on the scene of a suspicious package in Hampton on Tuesday.
Officials said they received a 911 call about the package around 9:40 p.m. at Gosnold Hope Park. Crews plan on x-raying the package to see what's inside.
Hampton fire, Hampton Police Division, and the Newport News Bomb Squad all helped in the investigation.
Police said the package was a cooler with a dead animal inside.
No further information was released about this incident.
