HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WVEC) -- The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is urging drivers to use more caution when making left turns.
VDOT says drivers should expect to see more flashing yellow arrows during their daily commute to assist in determining when it is safe to make a left turn.
VDOT also wants to remind drivers, "when in doubt, wait it out" until it is clear to make a turn.
