CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- A local woman is a finalist in the national 7-Eleven Woman's Franchise Initiative competition.
Evelyn Scott, a retired Navy Master Chief from Chesapeake, was selected from hundreds of applicants to compete for the opportunity to win a franchise fee-free 7-Eleven store.
As the competition heats up, the seven semi-finalists produced a short "Why I Should Win" video.
It's up to the public to vote on the video from June 19 to July 2 at 11:59 p.m. and the top three video winners will move on to the final deciding round.
The final round of the competition is a one-on-one interview with 7-Eleven.
The winner of the 7-Eleven Women's Franchise Initiative will be announced in July.
