CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. — The missing person had reportedly not returned home despite having a medical issue that required twice daily medication. The reporting party described the missing person as being in critical need of medical help.
Investigators were able to ping the missing person’s phone, verifying he was in the vicinity around his home.
After an hours long search, deputies noticed what they first thought was a suspicious object in a large field near the Eagle Creek Subdivision that turned out to be the body of the missing person.
Detectives are still investigating the scene but they say that there does not appear to be any criminal intent at this time.
