Commanders release 2024 schedule that starts the Jayden Daniels era

Washington will appear in two regular season primetime games including Monday Night Football at Cincinnati and Thursday Night Football at Philadelphia.

For fans it's the equivalent of Christmas and New Year's all in one. The NFL released its 2024 schedule on Wednesday night that included the Washington Commanders who have a fresh start at head coach (Dan Quinn), offensive coordinator (Kliff Kingsbury), and at quarterback (Jayden Daniels). 

They will take on the NFC South and AFC North divisions and will appear in two regular season primetime games including Monday Night Football at Cincinnati and Thursday Night Football at Philadelphia. The game with the Bengals will pit two former LSU quarterbacks in Daniels and Joe Burrow. Below is their 17-game schedule:

Week 1:

Washington Commanders at Tampa Bay Buccaneers - September 8th/4:25 pm

Week 2:

New York Giants at Washington Commanders - September 15th/1:00 pm

Week 3: 

Washington Commanders at Cincinnati Bengals - September 23rd/8:15 pm (Monday Night Football)

Week 4:

 Washington Commanders at Arizona Cardinals - September 29th/4:05 pm

Week 5: 

Cleveland Browns at Washington Commanders - October 6th/1:00 pm

Week 6:

 Washington Commanders at Baltimore Ravens - October 13th/1:00 pm

Week 7:

Carolina Panthers at Washington Commanders - October 20th/4:05 pm

Week 8:

Chicago Bears at Washington Commanders - October 27th/1:00 pm

The Bears and number one overall pick Caleb Williams, who returns to his hometown of Washington, D.C. 

Week 9:

Washington Commanders at New York Giants - November 3rd/1:00 pm

Week 10: 

Pittsburgh Steelers at Washington Commanders - November 10th/1:00 pm

Week 11:

Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles - November 14th/8:15 pm (Thursday Night Football)

Week 12:

Dallas Cowboys at Washington Commanders - November 24th/1:00 pm 

Week 13: 

Tennessee Titans at Washington Commanders - December 1st/1:00 pm

Week 14:

Week 17: 

Atlanta Falcons at Washington Commanders - December 28th/29th at TBD. 

It marks the return of former Washington QB Kirk Cousins who takes on the team that drafted him 12 years ago.
