Enjoy holiday tunes during Peninsula Youth Orchestra's concert

HAMPTON, Va. — The Soundscapes Peninsula Youth Orchestra is ringing in the holiday season with its 64th December concert.

From 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, the orchestra will hold its Harmonious Holidays: A Musical Celebration at The American Theatre in Hampton.

Attendees will enjoy listening to seasonal favorites, including A Vaughan Williams Christmas, Dance of the Tumblers from the Snow Maiden, A Bach Christmas, and Sleigh Ride.

The ensemble is made up of intermediate to advanced musicians between the age of 10 and 25.

"PYO cultivates learning and creativity, as well as social and motivational skills. The program format is a large symphony format which allows all students the opportunity to make music together," according to Soundscapes' website.
