13News Now Reporter Angelique Arintok

Angelique Arintok joined the 13News Now family in June 2021.

Angelique grew up in the outskirts of Manila, Philippines and moved to Northern Virginia at 10 years old.

She discovered her love for storytelling and journalism in college while attending George Mason University (Go, Patriots!). She was involved in student media and also interned at WDVM-TV based in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Before arriving in Hampton Roads, Angelique spent two years in the stateline community of Bristol. There, she got to be part of the Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia communities. While at WCYB-TV, Angelique reported impact stories, including ones about local government, miners, education and area flooding.

Angelique also has a passion for telling human interest stories. The Tennessee Associated Press recognized her for a piece about four scooter and bike-loving children who petitioned the Department of Transportation for a paved road.

Angelique strongly believes journalists serve their communities with accountable coverage of stories that deeply matter to them.

She’s always up for the next great tip. Email her at aarintok@13newsnow.com or follow her on Twitter and Facebook.
