Virginia Beach Women's History Month networking event to showcase female-owned businesses

Local entrepreneurs are curating an event to support and showcase women-owned businesses for Women's History Month.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — March is Women's History Month, and a group of entrepreneurs are hosting a networking event to bring women vendors together.

The second annual Lady Boss Expo is on Sunday, March 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. This year it's at The Villa in Virginia Beach.

This event will feature female event vendors across Hampton Roads. Organizers are suggesting that girls of all ages come out and enjoy the empowering experience.

Every year, organizers plan to help fundraise for a woman-owned vendor. This year proceeds collected will go to Girls On the Run, a nonprofit organization designed to help participants navigate through life challenges.

Tickets for the expo are $25 and can be purchased on the Eventbrite website. Each ticket includes access to all the event vendors, the pop-up market offering fairy hair and braiding services, live performances, and more.

While attendees network they can enjoy complimentary champagne and hors d'oeuvres.
