Point Break Festival coming to Virginia Beach Oceanfront in June: Sublime, Wiz Khalifa and more to perform

The festival is set for June 1 to 2 and will feature performances by more than 20 bands.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A brand new music festival is coming to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront in June that will feature performances by more than 20 bands.

The debut Point Break Festival is set for June 1 to 2 with alternative rock band Sublime and reggae rock act Rebelution as the headliners. Other performers include Wiz Khalifa, Stephen Marley, and Steel Pulse.

The City is contributing $300,000 toward sponsoring the festival, which was approved as part of the City’s sponsorship agreement during the Dec. 12, 2023 City Council meeting.

Doors will open at noon each day with live performances starting at 1 p.m. Local food vendors and craft vendors will also be at the festival.

Presale tickets will be available on the festival's website starting Thursday at 10 a.m. ET. Tickets will go on sale Friday, also at 10 a.m. ET.
