NORFOLK, Va. — There will be plenty of great events to celebrate St. Patrick's Day this weekend.
This weekend is jam-packed with events including the Yuengling Shamrock Marathon, St. Patrick's Day Parade, St. Baldrick's Day celebration, Patron Saint Community Day and Alewerks Brewing Company St. Patrick's celebration.
The 52nd annual Yuengling Shamrock Marathon will take place on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. Festivities have already started the celebration Friday morning at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.
In Ocean View, the 57th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place Saturday starting at 10:00 a.m. at Northside Middle School and ends at the intersection of First View and Government Avenue.
Afterward, at noon, there will be a party with food, refreshments and live music!
St. Baldrick's Day celebration is fundraising at Elation Brewing in Norfolk on Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers will shave their heads to raise money for childhood cancer research grants.
Hampton celebrates the holiday with a fun, free community day on Saturday. The city has partnered with the Hampton Main Library to host a day on Saturday of festivities at the Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center. The event is from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Alewerks Brewing Company in Williamsburg is hosting an event on Saturday with green beer, Irish dancing and an artisan market.
