(WVEC) -- March 9 marks the iconic doll Barbie's birthday!
On this day, 57 years ago, the doll made its debut at the American International Toy Fair in New York.
Since then, the date has also been used as her official birthday.
Over the years, the Barbie doll has seen a tremendous amount of changes-- most recently, changes include wider hips and fuller thighs.
